Veche aims to contribute to sociological knowledge at national and international level.
SCOPE
Veche accepts quantitative and qualitative research articles, review articles and book reviews from all sociology disciplines. Also, Veche accepts interdisciplinary studies related to sociology.
Writing Rules
The article should be written according to English grammar rules. Simple, understandable and scientific language should be used.
The article must be uploaded as a "MS Office Word" file. The file must contain a minimum of 5000 words and a maximum of 8000 words.
Article text; in A4 page sizes, the margins should be 2.5 cm, the font should be 12 point Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing and justified.
The first page of the article should include the institution, e-mail, ORCID ID information of the author, information about the article and Turkish/English abstract. Information about the author should only be on the first page.
The article should be titled in Turkish and English. The abstract should be written in Turkish and English, with 100-300 words. Keywords should be between 3 and 6 words.
"Ethics Committee Approval Letter" is required for qualitative or quantitative research. If the study has a scope that does not require ethics committee approval, a document stating "Ethics committee approval letter is not required" should be uploaded.
The automatic text editing feature should not be used in the file.
In the last page of the article; author contributions (in multiple authors articles), conflict of interest and funding informations should be included.
Veche guarantees to comply with publication ethics.
The editorial and publication processes of the journal are structured in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
There is no article processing charges or submission fees for any submitted or accepted articles.
Veche; does not accept cases of plagiarism, distortion, slicing, republishing, unfair authorship. In case of detection of these issues, the articles sent are rejected, the published articles are removed from the publication and official notifications are made to the relevant institutions.
All articles are first scanned using Turnitin software. Studies with a similarity rate higher than 15% are returned.
Authors are obliged to write their articles in a way that is free from social discrimination and prejudice. Studies should be in accordance with scientific ethics.
Editors evaluate manuscripts for their scientific content without regard to all kinds of discrimination and prejudice. They are responsible for providing a fair double-blind peer review of the submitted articles for publication.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on content without regard to all kinds of discrimination and prejudice. They must reach an objective judgment as a result of their reviews and justify it. They must be careful that their reports include constructive criticism and review for authors.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a double-blind peer-review process. The final decision-making authority for all manuscripts is the Editor-in-Chief.
